Smiles!

Payton is smiling!! I love it so much! It took quite a bit of effort to catch it on camera, here are a few that I got!

He is a little thumb sucker! We are giving him a pacifier alot, to try to stop him from sucking his thumb.

6 weeks old!

Payton is 6 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast the last 6 weeks have gone by. Payton is changing so much every day. I adore him and love being his mom.
Some of the things I love:
- Cuddling with him
- Reading him books
- Going for our daily walk
- Singing to him calms him down
- He is starting to really study things. He loves his mobile!
- He is so close to smiling and is really trying! I can't wait!
- I love his hair!
- I love when he is fussy till I hold him simply because he wants his mom.
- I love seeing Devry take care of him.
- I love that he is such a happy baby (most of the time)
- I love spending all of my time with him.


Lots has happened in the past few weeks that I havn't posted.



A few weeks ago Devry, Payton and I had pictures taken. Payton was just under 3 weeks old. I just recently got them back, so here are a ton of pictures!!

On August 9th Devry blessed Payton in church. We had lots of company and didn't get many pictures that day. So when I got professional ones done I had them take lots of him in the cute blessing tuxedo Devry's mom made. We enjoyed having Devry's family here to see him be blessed. It was a wonderful day.

I am loving the time I have off of work to spend with him. I am sad that it is half over! Devry is now into harvest time, and extremely busy! I don't get to see him as much as I would like, and really miss him! Payton and I are heading to Nova Scotia on sept. 25th to spend 3 weeks with my family. I am so excited! I havn't been home in 2 years, and can't wait for everyone to meet Payton. Devry will be joining us for the last week, on October 9th. I am a little nervous to fly there with Payton by myself, but I am sure we will make it just fine! I will go back to work one week after we get back. This 12 weeks is going way too fast!

Today

4am - Payton wakes up hungry. He went to bed about 10:30...5 1/2 hours straight, can't complain. Feed, burp, change him...back to bed.

7am- Only 3 hours this time?! Maybe I'll go back to bed after I finish feeding/burping/changing him. So I feed him. Then burp him...and he spits up alll over me...with none of it making it on the burp cloth. There is nothing like the feeling of warm spit up running down your shirt. I have to remind myself not to drop him so I can hurry and wipe it up. So I put him down, change my shirt and get cleaned up. On to the diaper change. Make it through the whole thing...and I go to pull up the new diaper, he pees. The new diaper was up just enough to bounce the stream onto the bed. So I try to move the diaper....unsuccessful...he is now peeing on the clean shirt I just put on. I grab a new diaper, put it on and start taking the sheets off the bed to wash. What do I hear.....Payton filling his diaper. I put on a new shirt and pick him up....maybe we will have better luck on his changing table. I make it to his room and look down....He had completely blownout his diaper....and of course it ended up on my 3rd shirt of the day.

Peed on, puked on and pooped on....all before 8am. It's a good thing he's so cute.
