One years old!

On the 18th, my adorable boys turned ONE YEARS OLD!
I absolutely cannot believe how fast this past year has gone! I mean I JUST had them right?!

We had a great time for their birthday.
Devry had to work, but after dinner we ate the cake I made for them, and they opened presents. Well...Payton opened their presents with Cohen and Kayson assisting.
They devoured their cupcakes... especially Kayson
The day after their birthday I took the boys to a play group I've been going to. I brought cupcakes and ice cream to share (my lazy way of not organizing a birthday party)
It was a ton of fun!

Here are some pictures of them eating their cake..

Now onto the fun pictures.... My friend Suzy took the boys one year old pictures for me! She is so incredibly talented, and I LOVE her work. We had a blast doing the photoshoot... as you can see by the pictures.. There are lots, so enjoy!

Payton was incredibly uncooperative for the pictures...so this is really the only good shot of him. Couldn't get any of all three boys looking and smiling at the camera

It was so much fun!

At one year...

Cohen is our little goofball. He always has a cheesy grin on his face, or some other funny face. He giggles constantly, and knows exactly how to make us laugh. He has such a little sense of humor! He thinks its so funny to lay his head down on Devry or me, then pop back up and start giggling. He fakes us out by making us think he wants to cuddle, but its just a little game to him.
He LOVES being social. If someone is talking to him, then stops, he starts hollering at them. He is always babbling and "talking." He does say "mama" "dada" and a large variety of oohs and ahhs, bubbas, and gagas.. He is always using his voice.
He is such a HAPPY baby. If he is hungry or overtired or hurt he fusses, but other then that he has a smile on his face. He is waving goodbye, and it is ADORABLE. He uses just his fingers, and gets a HUGE grin on his face.
He is crawling, standing and cruising everywhere. He cruises from room to room, opening and emptying anything he can find. He loves to make a mess! His favorite game is to empty any drawer, basket, toybox, etc he can find. He will not play with a single toy, but empty the entire thing. He stands on his own, but hasn't taken any steps yet. His balance is getting better every day so its only a matter of time. Im in no rush for these two to walk!
Cohen is still bigger then Kayson, and the gap is not getting any smaller. He weighed in at his 1 year check up today at 20 lbs (25th%), and 28.5" (10th%). He loves to eat, and eats pretty much anything we give him. On the rare occasion he doesn't like something, it is not allowed on his tray, and goes on the floor immediately. He still only has two bottom teeth. I always think he is getting more, but they never come through!

Kayson is still our little guy! He is standing better then Cohen, and even taking steps, but it looks SO weird since he is about the size of a 6 month old! He weighed 17lbs  (3rd%) and was 28' (10th%). He is long and skinny, but seems SO small, and feels so much lighter then Cohen. It shocks me he hasn't gained more, since he is also a bottomless pit! He didn't eat so great starting out, but we realized he just didn't like being fed, and only wanted to feed himself. I'm sure he will catch up eventually...its still so weird having such a small baby, when Payton was a MONSTER!
Kayson is such a happy little guy. He is always smiling and laughing. He has the cutest little cheesy grin, he gives to anyone who smiles at him. He loves to clap his hands, dance and gets SO excited when he hears music. He loves to make noise too! He is always giving high fives, banging on chairs, or finding things that make loud noises.
He has some funny habits that makes us laugh. He knows it too! Changing his diaper is very challenging. He loves to "Help" while your trying to wipe him. Then when we try to fasten it, he scoots up as fast as he can, just laughing his head off. It takes two people to change this kid! He also gets SO excited to get out of his carseat he twists his body when we are trying to undo the straps. Sometimes its helpful but alot of the time he just gets tangled in the straps. Again, he laughs and laughs.
He loves to climb the stairs. As soon as the gate is down he books it for them. He absolutely loves Payton, and lights up every time he sees him!

The boys are so different. Everything from their looks, to their habits, to their personalities. They are interacting with each other more and more. They play with each other now, and even have started making each other laugh. They will tackle each other, and steal each others toys or pacifiers. They are loving playing with Payton as well. Its fun seeing them old enough to play alot. It is especially fun to peak in on them while they are playing in their cribs. They swap toys, pacifiers, and stand and babble to each other. It melts my heart!! They still do things like that all the time. Hold hands in their carseats, give each other slobbery kisses, babble and laugh at each other!
They are very quickly growing out of their baby stage, and I am not liking it at all! Cuddles from them are getting less and less. They are getting more and more independent! Both still are little momma's boys, especially Cohen, but i'm feeling like its getting less and less, and that makes me sad! They are growing so fast, and changing every single day! I stopped nursing them a week ago. It was hard. I knew I would be weaning them in the next few months, but both boys got Thrush, and gave it to me, and my milk supply was GONE in a matter of a few days. I fought it for a bit, but realized it probably wouldn't come back, and figured I made it a year, so I stopped. I knew it was gonna be soon, but I would have rather stopped by choice then having to.....maybe just my weird feelings about it, but either way,  now that I am not nursing them anymore I kind of feel like they don't need me as much.

I adore these little guys so much. They are happy, pleasant, ADORABLE babies. I have worked so hard to get them on a good schedule, and they have adjusted well to it. They sleep 11-12 hours at night (usually Kayson wakes up a few times for no reason, but goes back to sleep). They take 2 naps, usually 1.5-2 hours each. They eat well, they play well. They are just happy, wonderful babies! I love having twins! I really do!

Happy First Birthday Cohen and Kayson!!

6 Years!

Happy 6th Anniversary to us!
Today is 6 years since we've been married!
We are getting a babysitter, and going out tonight! I'm excited!
We have been through a lot in 6 years.
It has gone quick, but at the same time I can hardly remember my life without Devry, so it seems like it has been way longer.

I love this guy.
He is so kind, loving, caring, hardworking, thoughful, honest, reliable, and HOT!
I am lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

Happy 6 years Babe! And forever more to go!

Big News!

I haven't posted about our latest big news yet, because I keep thinking its too good to be true!!
But it is official.
Devry starts a new job on March 25th!!
He will still be a diesel technician, but for a mining company called FMC.
It is located 30 minutes outside of where we live, and they bus their employees to and from work.
His regular time wage will be what he is making in overtime at halliburton, so he will work alot less to make the same amount.
And the best part..... He will work Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. (with some optional overtime)
Everything about the job is so perfect. We know several people who work there and have nothing but GREAT things to say about their jobs and the company.

I am so incredibly proud of Devry for getting this job. The hiring process was INTENSE to say the least! MANY of the mechanics Devry works with at Halliburton have applied at FMC, often multiple times. And said its impossible to get a job there.
So Devry applied, somewhat hesitantly, thinking it would never really work out.
He received a call back quickly. They were impressed with his resume. He had his first interview.
A few days later he received another call, with another HR rep, and had a second interview.
Then he did some testing. It was a personality type test, that was a pass or fail. He passed.
Then he was set up for a FULL day of interviews, written and hands on testing.
He spent and entire friday (7am-6pm) going through interviews, testing, etc. At any point through the day, he could be sent home if he was eliminated from getting the job. He was never sent home.
He received a call a few days later, offering him the position.
They've been doing background checks, physical etc, and he finally got an official start date today.

We are so THRILLED! It has been a long couple of years. Him going out of town to work, and working insane amount of hours. It's hard. It is VERY hard. It will be SO nice for him to have normal hours! To see him every single night. To spend weekends with him. To have him home SO much more!
We were talking the other day, and it will be the FIRST time in our marriage both of us will have "normal" hours. I started working 3 nights a week when we got married. I worked nights until 6 months ago. Devry has worked out of town and/or nights for almost 2 years. We will enjoy a bit of time both being home at night, and no one going out of town! It may not last too long, since I will probably start working again soon. But a few months of "normal" will be SO nice!
